I wish I can tell you that I was able to start this year’s review with a concert approval for Live Music Photographer dot CA for The Band Perry’s stop of their Pioneer tour at the GM Centre in Oshawa, but unfortunately I received my credentials denied the day of the concert. I really wanted to see this band specially I missed them when I shot at last year’s Boots and Hearts. Thankfully, I was able to get a last minute ticket and with the venue’s standard camera policy, I was still able to bring my point and shoot to get some decent shots (well, that’s what I think anyway).
Moving on, there were 2 openers in the tour, namely, Lindsay Ell and Easton Corbin. Both of them were great, they were able to get the crowd up and going before The Band Perry came up.
I have to be honest, I only knew one song from the band but I admit that I enjoyed their performance and most of the songs still stuck to my mind. I ended up picking up their album Pioneer after the show and it’s worth it. If ever you get a chance to see this tour, I highly recommend going. You go there, forget all your worries and enjoy the performance.
Below are the shots I was able to take with my point and shoot, and hopefully someday I get to cover one of their performances.
